ACTH Abnormal ACTH levels are associated with diseases such as Cushing's Disease (called PPID in horses). Note that ACTH is unstable and should be spun-down and the plasma separated as soon as possible. Store refrigerated, or ideally frozen, if not measuring the ACTH immediately.
