RAPID TEST TURNAROUND
Established for over 30 years, we are a large laboratory offering comprehensive clinical pathology services to our ambulatory and hospital teams. We accepts samples for testing and interpretation from veterinary surgeons and practices across the UK. Our experienced team of qualified laboratory technicians provide rapid, quality controlled, reliable results with interpretation by experienced on-site clinicians. The lab is located at our Newbury, West Berkshire practice headquarters.
Our biomedical scientists have expertise that covers haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, cytology, PCR and serology. Our senior biomedical scientists have each over 25 years experience in equine and small animal haematology, biochemistry and microbiology.

Our Equine Medicine Team includes American and European board-certified specialists and RCVS certificate holders and advanced practitioners.
We guarantee same day delivery of results for all tests in haematology, biochemistry and endocrinology. First results for the day are delivered from 8:15 am and include samples arriving late in the day (up to 4.30 pm). We will prioritise urgent samples.

We can also guarantee same day return of PCR-based assays if we have the sample by 12.30 pm.

QUALITY
RACEHORSE PROFILING
We undertake tests in a variety of clincial fields including haematology, clinical chemistry, micorbiology, endocrinology, serology and qPCR. Although we undertake most tests in-house, a small number of external laboratories are used for specialised tests in the areas of serology and pathology. Samples will be processed and shipped to ensure they arrive in optimal condition, and the results will be interpreted and relayed to the clinician and/or client.
We believe in delivering high quality results focussed on the needs of our clients. We use some of the most sophisticated and accurate analysers available. We participate in independent external quality assessment schemes run by VETQAS and IDEXX. We are an RCVS accredited practice. We are an approved provider by the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) for Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeuriginosa.
The Laboratory staff have substantial expertise in designing and interpreting laboratory tests that can assist in determining the health and fitness status of racehorses. We have accumulated detailed data on normal ranges for racehorses.

The lab is open 6 days a week and most public holidays. The equine and small animal practices are open 24 hours, 365 days a year. Your horse, cat and dog are always in safe hands.
